MAISON&OBJET. LINEN IS A GLOBAL TREND OF THE YEAR
MAISON&OBJET is the exhibition of decor which was held from 23 to 27 January in Paris. It is one of the key exhibitions for the textile industry. We continue the review of its best moments.

The year of linen fabrics.
This year the exhibition was obviously held under the sign of linen. Linen was everywhere: a large exposition met at the entrance to the textile pavilion, linen was in the publisher’s collections: linen in natural colors, linen with lace, linen with bright prints… A lot of ultra-modern linen fabrics with metalize cotton, lurex and crushed texture.
Among the companies presented linen fabrics we especially remember those.
Joe&Cla (France)
A young project. The company makes prodigious natural fabrics with satin stitch embroidery. Embroidery is made manually in Madagascar.

Maison d ete (France)
Beautiful linen fabrics of natural shades in combination with seaming lace. The typical French country made in India.

Amandine de Brevelay Creation (France)
Some companies were presented in this style but Amandine seemed to us the most interesting. We managed to communicate with Sylvette the founder and the head designer of the company. All ideas and technologies came to her from her grandmother, linen is still painted with natural dyes, laces and frills are run on, all is made in France, which is a rarity now. We present you this beauty from «grandmother’s chest».

Boeme Design
Very young English publishers, the company was opened in 2011. The founder of the company is a talented artist and designer Jo Bound, she transfers her paintings to fabric by the method of digital printing. Therefore in the collection there are a lot of highly artistic prints. All bases are natural:linen, cotton, velvet. We were amazed at combination of bright paints and feeling of harmony which these fabrics create.

Pepa pastor (Spain)
The publishers from Spain with the collections of linen fabrics. Bright floral prints, wonderful, soft to the touch modern linen fabrics of grey shades. Delicate devore.

Linum
Linum presented ready collections from linen. The mount was one of the most powerful and stylish mounts.

Thevenon
Gerard Thevenon company produces stylish and inexpensive up-to-date fabrics thanks to matrimony of the company’s founder Mr. Gerard Thevenon and his spouse – the artist Valerie Dushato. A considerable part of the collection consists of light bobbin net with a painted design or with an addition of woolen threads and embroideries. Classical motives are easily transformed into trendy because of their bright colorations.

Voyage
An English company with a large number of prints and tremendous embroideries on Scottish linen and English cotton. Bright colors and irreproachable taste.
